Creating amidst chaos

Kymberlee here from The Paper Midwife.

You know I am one of those people that try as you might to understand me, I just don't make sense! REALLY!  Sometimes I even do things that amazes even ME! Take for example the fact that I know that the second Wednesday of every month it is my turn right here on this blog. It is ON the calendar and everything. So WHY then did I feel the need to start ripping apart my studio for the sake of "organizing" two days ago? Well, heck, if I knew the answer to that then I might take a shot at curing cancer or finding world peace. Since I don't even know why I do what I do; I will just share with you a quick card that I made from scraps (my garbage pail) and my Copic sketching & coloring skills. If you saw the state of my studio you wouldn't wonder why I was digging in the garbage...it is the ONLY thing I can REACH!

New things I tried:
I used some Smooch to put some highlights on the flowers after I colored them with Copics
I used some Crackle on the left side of the bottle where the highlights might be
I kept it very simple and didn't over think it.
Believe it or not, digging through the garbage in my studio is NOT a new thing for me ;)

I hope you all have a GREAT HOLIDAY and that you take the time to reflect on your blessings and most importantly that you LIVE IN THE MOMENT.

If you have one eye on yesterday, and one eye on tomorrow, you're going to be cockeyed today. Anonymous

Lol I am right there with you. I go to my room to create and I am not happy and I try moving things around and reorganizing. Your project is lovely. The flowers look real and love the bottle coloring. Way to go. TFS

Kimberley - did you draw those flowers? WOW - this is gorgeous - I love the colors you chose for the flowers and they just pop on the soft blue background! Really beautiful!

Gorgeous card, Kimberlee. I love the coloring. and I always seem to need sympathy cards (sadly). I try to keep organizing my craft room to a minimum. I can never find anything once everything is organized.
