A Birthday Card for my Brother

Hi Everyone,

It's Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room here to share my project for this month. I'm so excited to be here again. Thanks Pam.

My brother's birthday is February 7th so I decided to make him a card. He lives away so I made it early enough to mail it to him so he would get it on time. I have trouble with manly cards. I guess it's because I really don't have many stamps/supplies for a man. I really have to think outside the box when it comes to masculine supplies and think that it's always good to have them.

I started with brown card stock for the base of my card (A2 size) and the pattern paper is from a My Mind's Eye stack called Follow Your Heart - Be Amazing. I used brown satin ribbon and tied a man's tie (just like you would a real tie). I used a gem to adhere it to the tie. I punched out a shape from a Stampin' Up punch inked it and stamped the sentiment. I cut out a mat of white card stock for the inside and cut a strip of leftover pattern paper for the bottom. I stamped Happy Birthday. I later wrote a personal wish for him.

I think it came out so cute and my brother loved it.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by.
