End of the Year/Goodbye Card

Hi folks,

Ian, here, from A Newbie Crafter.  Today, I have an end of the year/goodbye card for one of my RAs.  I'll be posting one card a day on my blog to show all 13 cards.  You may or may not know this, but I am an Area Coordinator (Residence Hall Director) at a small private college in New York.  We are on a 3-year "contract", and this marks my 3rd year in the position.  I am officially done June 30, but could potentially leave earlier, depending if I have a job yet.  No bites yet, so time will tell.

Anyway, I wanted to give my RAs something as a going away gift.  I made a card for each one of them and wrote a small note to each of them.  I hope they all enjoy them.  For the sake of surprise, some of my RAs know of my blog so I won't be posting this on there until Friday.  I'm giving them their card on Thursday night.

Here's the first card in the installment.  I discovered and fell in love with Your Next Stamp stamps.  They have a plethora of cute images and I want them all.  Seriously.  Anyway, here are the pictures.  I chose Ethan out on the Pond, for my RA Mathew.  When I saw this image, I immediately pictured him in this same scenario and started giggling to myself.  Mathew is a funny guy.

I will be honest, I did not write down any of the Copic markers that I used.  This was my first time using them, and as you can tell, I need to take a class.  Here's hoping I can take one this summer!  I also used a sentiment from one of the Stamp of the Months and the Dotty for You paper pack, both from Close To My Heart.

Don't be too harsh.  :)

Craft on,
Ian

Ian you are too hard on yourself. This is great. You have not gone 3d style but are going with flat style which is also awesome . Very cute card.

Very cute card. Good Luck in your job search. Your coloring is not bad. I would love to take a Copic coloring class myself. I'll have to search for one in my area.
