A Card and a Box

Hi Everyone,

Lisa from Lisa's Craft Room here to share a card and a box I made for a friend's birthday. Thank you Pam for having me. I hope you are feeling lots better. Well, I must say it has been a very hot and busy summer, but boy did it fly by. Even though it is September, we are still getting warm temperatures and that's fine with me because I'm really not ready to be cold yet. Maybe just a little cool :)

For the card I used the new die set from Emma (My Creative Time) called Stitched Party Dies. The balloons and the banner are so cute. For the little box, which I will be putting a gift card inside, it fit's perfectly, I used the little stamp set Birthday Buddies, also from Emma.

For the box you start off with a piece of card stock that measures 5 1/2" x 8". You score one side at 1,
3 1/2, 4 1/2 and 7, you turn it and score at 1 and 4 1/2. You fold all the score lines, then cut each side only up to the score lines. You put adhesive on each of those tabs and fold the box up. You can find a video at www.mychicnscratch.com with Angie. She makes the cutest bags and boxes. It's sometimes hard to show in pictures, that's why it's nice to watch a video. I'm sorry that I didn't show more pictures, I just didn't have the time, but I will get better :)

Well, that's my project for this month. Thanks for stopping by. See you soon. Have a wonderful weekend.
