Dare To Be Sassy Thursday - Paper Piecing

Hi Everyone

Michelle here from Lady of Leisure Ink, thanks Pam for having me.  I am also guest designer over at Sassy Studio Designs, where it is Dare To Be Sassy Thursday Challenge - the theme this week is Paper Piecing.  I took the image of  Katniss the Sassy on fire because I love all the flounces on the bottom of her dress - perfect for paper piecing.

The paper I used is actually Adhesive Fabric Paper from DCWV, and although I love the texture (it was perfect for this dress) it was a pain in the butt to adhere properly because it stretches!!!  Here is a closer look.

The image is coloured with my ProMarkers, and the sentiment is a stamp from an SU set called 'Word Play'.  I finished it off with by adhering some dyed seam binding  (which was a gift from a friend) around the edge.

This is how I finished off the back of the bag, which incidentally is a recycled Sephora bag - I am loving giving these recycled bags and boxes a face-lift.

Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope you will check out all the fabulous creations by the design team over at Sassy Studio.

Michelle
