Spring is out there somewhere!

Hi everyone, Karon here from Karon's Krafty Korner for my little visit with you all here at The Bug Bytes this month.  Thanks for having me Pam.

This month I am sharing a card that I made with wishes of Spring in mind.  I have seen enough of the snow now and the 7ft pile of it at the end of my drive!  Yep I did say 7 feet!!

Here is my card, with a nice bright yellow background to remind me that the sun is out there somewhere. The backing papers are from a Recollections Paper stack called Bold Basics.

My image is a Milk Coffee Digital and is a freebie that can be found here.  Isn't she sweet?

For my embossed layer I ran it through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder.  However, I wanted the sentiment to be on an unembossed part, so I left this bit sticking out of the folder.  I then used my Martha Stewart Scoring board to make a couple of scored lines just below the last dots.

The image has been coloured with my Spectrum Noir markers.

I inked all of the layers with a purple ink, and the same ink was used to stamp the sentiment which is from a Hero Arts stamp set.

I added a little button to the side of the sentiment and some ribbon, and a bow down the left hand side. For the inside, I used the same papers as the front and then added the little stamped flower.

I hope you are all having a fabulous week and thanks for stopping by.

Happy crafting everyone.

This is beautiful. Wish we had a bit of snow here though instead of just the gusty winds. Your card looks do bright and sunny. And the insides look so pretty too.

The card is very cute. I love the image. I would have never guessed it was a digital image I thought it was stamped.

Oh, Karon, your card is just darling! Pretty colors and the digi-image is sooo sweeet! It would have thought it was a stamped image too.
