Easter Treat Box

Hi Everyone!!  It’s Wini from LooneyBugDesigns to share a project with you today!  Since I was in an Easter mood – I decided to make a cute little treat box for you.  These are so simple to make they could easily be mass produced for a child class, coworkers, extended family – or even be made to house a special Easter morning gift!
Chick Close
I started with the Bouquet cut from Wrap It Up using the Box feature.  I added it to the mat of my Gypsy and sized it how I wanted it (my box has a finished size of  3x4.25 after being folded).  I then went in and used the Hide Contour feature to delete the rose cutout on the pillow box.  I then added the ChickEgg (shift feature) and all it’s layers from the Simply Charmed cartridge.  I love how I can put everything on one mat and not worry about putting cartridges in my Expression!  Here are my finished cuts (I pre-folded the pillow box so you could see the lines).
Cricut Cuts
Next I got out some of my favorite supplies and started assembling my project.
Supplies
I really recommend using a nice strong adhesive for putting your box and layers together – I used my Scor-Tape and it holds perfectly.  Notice that I did punch a small semi-circle on one end of my pillow box – it makes it much easier to get the goodies out this way.
After assembling my little Chick I added tiny black Crystal Gems using my I-Rock tool (LOVE THIS!) and it really helps to give it some dimension and life.  I used my Scor-Tape to put my Chick together and to adhere my ribbon to my box (this is so quick and easy – and it really stays!).  I few SSD Micro Open Roses and a SSD Bow as a finishing touch and I have a cute (and quick) Easter project!
Chick Project
I would love to know what you think of this fun little project!
Hugs, Wini
