Never Ending Card using Straight from the Nest

I finished the card and was quite happy at the way it turned out. I made a prototype without using G and then cut the same with G using George and was surprised that it turned out quite good. The last update even George was wonky but in this one seems that it is not that bad. The right tools makes this card so easy ie the Gypsy and the  Xyron . The paper helps too. Only the corner with swirly bird and one of the flipped swirl gave me some trouble as the pieces got cut while lifting. I just made extra set so I could use them if one cut off . The shadows of course were ok.
This card does need to align right for the card to move smoothly while opening.  The card opens  alternately - sideways and then up & down. You get 4 views before it goes back to the beginning.. Here is my 8" x 8" card. The card cut is using George and the embellishments are from Straight From the nest cartridge. I love this one along with Heritage and Sentimental.

1st view/page

when you open sideways you get to the next page - so 2nd page
open up and down - 3rd page

then open sideways again - 4th page
Finally when you open up and down again you come back to page 1.

To plan the card  I made some sketches . click on the image to open a tad larger.
here is the Dimensions sketch

and here is the sketches
This helps in planning and placement.

You need to take care to carefully align the card. If the card catches you can just trim a sliver .
Using solid cardstock helps as the card turns both ways. I have used 2 black cardstock for the card base and then one more for shadow for the diecuts. Then the inside card layering paper is from My mind's eye - Spectrum Warm. the image cuts are using K&Y company Classic K. I have stickled them .

I have loaded 2 files one just for the card base using George and the other having both SFTN and George - the fie as it is as I have cut.
Tips
1) Use solid cardstock or pattern paper that has the same design on both sides for the base as the card turns both ways in a puzzle like fashion so you might end up with hodge podge design otherwise
2) Glue only until half the mark  before the scoremark. In this eg as the card score marks falls at the 2 inch mark glue only a 1 inch square.
3)Butting the card against a right angled surface corner like your score pal or Martha Stewart scorer or  T-square helps in easy alignment
4) Keep opening the card many times before gluing the  inside panels and images.

There is a 2 part video too for assembling

I am just feeling comfortable with an A2 size card and feeling good about my creations. This card is like the MacDaddy of cards! WOW! I would have to frame it if I made this as no one would get it after all that work! Thank you for your tutorial as it made it easy to understand... I will stick to layouts and you my dear are the never ending card Queen!
