Mother's Day Box

Hi Crafters! I can't believe it is finally my day to share with you! I am so excited to be part of The Gyptians design team~! Pam, thank you for such a fun opportunity! This is a really talented group of ladies! The projects this week, have been just fab!

For my project, I am making a gift box for a necklace I am giving to my mother for Mother's Day.
It was fun to challenge myself to use the Home Decor and Home Accents cartridges....I did use the Gypsy Wandering also...since we are using the Gypsy of course! I did discover that HD and HA do have some very interesting and versatile cuts.

On to my projects...I am very new to doing videos so they are quite long..I hope you don't mind...and they are a little rustic! But hopefully I will get better with practice.

There are 2 videos for each part of my project. We will start with the box, this is a screen shot of my gypsy using GW to create the cuts for the box...

Now, for the flower on the box - this is a screen shot using HE and HD to create the flower and leaves. The base of the flower is cut at 2" and each flower piece is cut at 1/4 increments down. For the leaves, I used a leaf and copied and pasted it 3 times, used the turning tool and welded together.

I hope you have enjoyed the videos...I will really try to make them shorter next time! Time just flys when you are creating!
For those of you who would like to have the gypsy file, I am posting it below. I don't have DS, so sorry for those of you who don't have a gypsy. Maybe someone would be willing to change the file to a cut file for you. Just let us know.
Well, I have enjoyed my time with you today, and I look forward to the next time.
Have a wonderful day!
